Characters & Scripts

Characters and Scripts

Using her medal-winning monologues and duologues, featured in her new book Over to You!, this is a workshop to set children thinking about creating characters and writing and performing their own scripts.

  • How would you solve the Dinner Lady Dog Disaster?
  • How does it really feel to be a nit?
  • Argh! There’s a bat in my bed!

Feedback:

"Cath is an inspiring and motivating teacher. From the outset, she had the children engaged in their learning; they loved the opportunity to do role play and drama was central to the session, creating many opportunities for teamwork, discussion and imaginative play. We can’t wait to see what the children produce in their monologues and duologues."

"What an interesting session this afternoon. I was really impressed by the way Cath managed to get the children to open up about their experiences like getting lost. Lots of lovely ideas….might use them again! Thank you! "

"The children loved the whole experience! It was great to see children who wouldn’t normally work together collaborating and achieving. I can’t wait to see the final outcomes of the duologues the children have started writing. The warm-up drama activities really inspired me. It gave me lots of ideas to take away too!"
