I offer a variety of workshops in schools such as:
- Empathy-focused workshop in line with Empathy Lab values based on my Nosy Crow books. - Story-writing: characters, plots and igniting your writing. - Poetry-writing: creating poems with impact using simple prompts and structures. - Playscript-writing: How to create simple scripts, using my book, “Let’s Perform!” All talks and workshops are typically between 45 minutes and a hour in length, but I’m very happy to adapt my events according to your particular needs. |
I also lead sessions at retreats and writers gatherings, running workshops for adult writers:
- Finding inspiration through props. - How to develop characters. - Using drama to spark stories. -“Mining the Child Inside”: How to use our childhood experiences to create writing with impact. “Cath’s experience as a children's author and a classroom teacher gave our students a unique insight into writing with children. The opportunity for students to write creatively during the workshop helped them to identify with the writing process and see the value of seeing themselves as 'writing teachers'.
